On June 16, I hung out with my closest friend-Kelly YEH. She had just come back to Taiwan from Oz. I miss her so much because we only get to meet once a year. Most of the time, we stay in touch use text messages due to our living different country and time zone. We have a same goal that we want to be the registered nurse in Australia before long.
We met 10:00 at MRT Taipei main station, but she overslept. It's not a big problem, I deal with some personal matters first. Finally, we met around 11:00.
We went to a breakfast shop what we choose by walking. It was very close — only a 4-minute walk from Taipei Main Station. Pretty convenient, right?
The breakfast shop(單眼皮双眼皮早餐) is a tiny exist on the street. Although, the place is small and cozy, it is clean and feature.
I ordered the soft baguette with an egg and a piece of cheese. The other is Chicken nugget. The soft baguette set come with a cup of black tea. We discussed what we want to eat in Simon after the brunch. Then Kelly said ''I have constantly been eating since I landed in Taiwan, except sleeping time.'' We ate brunch in each other’s company and had meaningful conversation what did happen and grosses recently.
She brought gifts for me. A big package of kangaroo cookie. There are ten small packages in the big package and cookie monster's cookies. I adore a Quokka's statue Kelly gave me —it bring motivation to me lovely! The quokka take a candy cane with smile.
We bought two useless weird items. She obtained an item that mean Lucky desk setup / workstation, while I obtained an item that is puppy with a broken heart. After that, the situation went out of control quickly...
June 18 – A Day with My Closest Friend Kelly YE
On June 18, I hung out with my closest friend, Kelly YE. She had just come back to Taiwan from Australia. I miss her so much because we only get to meet once a year. Most of the time, we stay in touch through text messages, since we live in different countries and time zones.
We both share the same dream — to become registered nurses in Australia in the near future.
We were supposed to meet at 10:00 a.m. at Taipei Main Station, but Kelly overslept. It wasn’t a big deal; I took care of some personal matters while waiting. Eventually, we met around 11:00 a.m.
We went to a breakfast shop that we picked on foot — it was just a 4-minute walk from the station. Pretty convenient, right?
The breakfast shop (單眼皮雙眼皮早餐) is a tiny hidden gem on the street. Though the place is small and cozy, it’s clean and has its own character.
I ordered a soft baguette with egg and cheese, and a side of chicken nuggets. The set also came with a cup of black tea. While eating, we talked about what we might want to eat at Simon (a later meal). Kelly laughed and said, “I haven’t stopped eating since I landed in Taiwan — except when I sleep.”
We enjoyed each other’s company over brunch and had a deep conversation about what’s been happening in our lives lately — both the ups and the gross stuff.
Kelly brought me some gifts — a big package of kangaroo cookies (with ten small packs inside!) and some Cookie Monster cookies. I especially adore the Quokka figurine she gave me — it’s holding a candy cane and smiling. It’s super cute and gives me motivation.
Later, we bought two weird and totally useless little items. She got something for her "lucky desk setup" (工位開運), and I picked one that looked like a “puppy with a broken heart.” And after that... well, the situation quickly spiraled out of control.
